As we are getting closer to the end of 2011, I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to those, who have been faithful in serving in various committees. A big thank you to all of our committee chairpersons. This year we have tried something new by keeping our meeting time within 55 minutes each; and scheduled all of our meetings on Sundays for the entire year. By doing this I hope that we can spend less time in meeting rooms, and doing more ministries in both church and community.

We are in the first week of Advent Season, a period of 4 weeks before Christmas Day. During this time we encourage each other to remain anticipating the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Until that victorious day, we are committed to be one with Christ, one with one another, and in one ministry of making healthy disciples of Jesus Christ.

At the beginning of this year, I challenged us to give our tithe to our Rocky Mountain Conference for wider mission. We have been giving 11% of our contribution income, or $19,139.48 as of October 31. I also said at that time that we just need to be faithful in our giving, then God will supply what we need.

One of my goals this year is to encourage our members to have daily devotion. Have you followed the Bible reading chart to read one chapter a day of the New Testament & Proverbs? If you do, we are about to finish the whole list in just a few more days. I plan to make a new list for 2012. You might have followed other devotional materials. That is fine as well.
