We thank God for a successful Vacation Bible School last week, July 26-31.  We had 32 children registered and over 20 adult volunteers.  The VBS ended with a party last Saturday and their musical performance last Sunday at both 9:45 AM and 11:15 AM worship services.  Thank you Sandra Jimenez, volunteers and our church members for your prayers and support.  Our children are NOT THE FUTURE of the church.  Our children are THE PRESENCE of the church.

This Sunday, August 8, our Vietnamese and Hispanic-Latino members and friends will attend the United Methodist Day @ Water World, 2-8 PM.  The event is sponsored by our Annual Conference and open to everyone, the tickets of $20/person can be purchased starting from 1:30 PM at a Methodist table at the Water World gate, cash or checks only, no credit cards accepted.

The third Get Acquainted gathering will be at 6 PM on Monday, August 9 at Norma & John Williams’ home.  Phyllis Aguilar, chairperson of Staff/Parish Relations Committee, has coordinated these gatherings for our church members to meet with Pastor Tan and Pastor Linda and their spouses.  Let her know your intention of attending this last gathering.

Staff/Parish Relations Committee has scheduled a meeting at 1 PM on Sunday, August 15.

Education Committee has scheduled a meeting at 4 PM on Sunday, August 15 to finalize our Youth Camp, August 20-22.
